U.S. Army, Yuma Proving Ground, Yuma, AZ

Pyramid Services performs on its Installation Support Services (ISS) contract at the Yuma Proving Ground (YPG), located in the heart of the Arizona desert, 21 miles north of the city of Yuma, AZ. For the ISS contract, Pyramid Services provides operations and maintenance services for family housing and all other Army facilities at YPG.

The major functions provided on this contract are engineering planning and estimating; work control; accounting; heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) maintenance; plumbing; carpentry; general and high-voltage electrical support; heavy equipment operation; grounds maintenance; housing maintenance; billeting; supply; and shipping and receiving operations. U.S. Air Force, Air Force Plant 42, Palmdale, CA

Air Force Plant 42 is home to ten individual contractor-operated aerospace technology and manufacturing sites. Pyramid Services’ mission is to operate and maintain the common areas and facilities, consisting of five major functions: maintenance, security, fire protection, telecommunications and engineering.

The maintenance department cares for equipment, vehicles, several buildings, utility systems, and grounds; it also provides complete maintenance for two 12,000-foot runways and associated airfield pavement. The security guard force controls entry to the installation 24/7, and patrols the common areas for all security sectors. The fire department staffs two separate fire stations, provides structural response and airport fire protection services, fire prevention services, and mutual aid to Los Angeles County. The telecommunications department manages telephone and computer operations and maintenance for approximately 150 personnel to include local area network and internet services. The engineering staff supports all related safety, environmental, and civil engineering programs, design, documentation, management of small- to medium-sized construction projects, and technical support to the maintenance department. U.S. Air Force, Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE), Brooks City-Base, San Antonio, TX

To remove a mountain, begin by carrying away small stones. — AnonymousPyramid Services, supporting its joint venture prime contractor, RMA-Insight, has been among the contractors awarded a portion of a $3 billion Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) procurement action from the Air Force’s Worldwide Environmental Restoration and Construction 2009 (WERC 09) program. The main thrust of the WERC 09 IDIQ contract is for the provision, worldwide, of environmental restoration and construction services to remedy site conditions in accordance with technical and regulatory requirements, and to provide limited minor construction and ancillary services.

Pyramid Services and our teaming partner RMA-Insight, Joint Venture, offer services related to military family housing such as repair, renovation, and demolition of existing military family housing facilities. Our joint venture teaming partners are RMA Land Construction, Inc., and Insight Environmental, Engineering and Construction, Inc. RMA Land Construction is a full-service general contractor with more than 27 years of experience. Insight is a licensed general construction, environmental remediation, and engineering firm capable of providing specialized services in both normal and rapid response/emergency situations.

AFCEE’s mission is to provide the comprehensive expertise to protect, preserve, restore, develop, and sustain the nation’s environmental and installation resources. As such, AFCEE offers a complete range of technical and professional services in environmental and installation planning and engineering, and military housing construction and privatization; it provides a centralized office where Air Force commanders can go for assistance with their installations’ environmental and construction programs.
